ALS Spin-a-thon, Feb 10

Early on Saturday morning, February 10, team JFT2 gathered for a group ride to kick off an exciting day.  As usual, there was a sizeable pre-ride gathering at Starbucks as the team loaded up for the ride.  Instead of the usual Bridle Trails departure, the team decided to drive their cars to Leschi, the home of team sponsor Triumph-Multisport, to begin the day.

Twelve riders left from Leschi for the 2.5 hour ride, and another joined in down the road.  Riders of different abilities were able to participate, as this was a recovery ride week for the Ironman and Half Ironman athletes. The weather was absolutely perfect.

Several of the riders brought their trainers and a sizeable group joined in the ALS Spin-a-thon, a fund raising event that Triumph Multisport, along with Lemond Fitness, were sponsoring for the Blazeman foundation.  There were three Lemond RevMaster stationary bikes there for those who did not bring a trainer.

The team had a great time, and really enjoyed helping support this worthy cause.  There was a jar there for cash donations, and there is still time to help out by donating here.

After the spin-a-thon, several of the team members headed over to the pool to videotape their swim.  Quite a full day!
